Today marks the 12th anniversary of the day we first dated each other.
JLA and ALJ.
Thank you for being the love of my life. :)

MCO continues...
Damn, time sure flies....it's been almost 3 weeks since the last post.
MCO has been extended to 28th April from the original date of 14th April, not sure whether there will be another extension but my guess is another extension is required to sufficiently help #FlattenTheCurve and making sure the health care system is not overloaded.
Currently infection cases are already on a decline, less than 100 a day, hope it gets better.
Meanwhile, Japan FINALLY, FINALLY declared a state of emergency (on 7 prefectures only) on 6th April after numerous pressure from health experts. Still, I can somehow feel the general public are not quite taking it seriously (Weekends still see many people in the streets).
Have a feeling that this year's Golden Week will be a somber one.
Been locking up at home since coming back to Tokyo mid-January, going out as little as possible and using as little money as possible for the sake of saving money, so in effect has practiced "self-quarantine" earlier and it's not as bad as it initially felt. Lucky that the wife and I are both lazy types and not very keen on outings.
BTW, in the 2 months since all this started, managed to finish some series in such short time, namely:
Til next time, ciao for now.

Coronavirus
Yikes, more than 1 year since the last post.....apasal lah....
It's been 2 months plus since the first case of major coronavirus outbreak.
Malaysia has imposed MCO (Movement Control Order) since 18th March while Japan is still hesitating on declaring a state of emergency, and almost the whole world is on self quarantine as much as possible to help #FlattenTheCurve.
Never thought I'd live to see a pandemic in my lifetime, though this one should go down as one of the great historical period.
With this much time on hand and not much news on job leads, should have plenty of time to do some blogging.
I do have a few posts in mind though i.e. yearly recaps, the past few years' travel, change in lifestyle and thinking... but I'm really struggling to get the words out.
Not sure if it's creativity ran dry or years of writing Facebook and Instagram short status dulling the long form writing skills. Scary, come to think of it.
Anyways, it's almost 1.15am JPT, this will do.

4th Interview
Well, just got the 4th interview done with the TAM (Technical Account Manager) of Fastly Japan.
Have to say it was a smooth conversation, other than the fact that I got one of the most asked tech questions --- What happens after you type in a URL in the browser? --- somewhat incorrect. Well, not wrong I guess, but certainly felt a bit rusty answering such basic question.
That's what you get for working in the same company for 11 years without trying out interviews from time to time.
The TAM said he waited for 2-3 months as well before being confirmed for the job...didn't know it would take that long to update a candidate's status.
Oh well...I need them more than they need me. Just gotta wait and hope for the best.

Comeback?
Wow.
10 years.
That's how long I've been away from this blog.
One can understand given the emergence of Friendster (my god that was so long ago), Facebook, etc...
Rusty recollection of events ; rusty organization of thoughts ; rusty writing skills.
10 years is a really long time.
Not sure if I can do this anymore.
But I sure would like to try to.
